Independent study is an important skill at A-level. All A-level science students can take part in an Educake competition to encourage and reward practice outside the classroom.
When? From 12th October until 8th November 2026.
Who can enter? Any A-level student at a school that subscribes or is trialling Educake for A-level Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
How do students participate? Answer as many questions as possible in Study and Quiz Yourself or Revision Wizard areas of Educake.
How do they win? Students who answer the most questions (the top 10%) will be entered into a prize draw. Winners will be able to pick one of the following:
A graphical calculator suitable for A-level science/maths
or
Beats Solo 4 Headphones.
Each winning school will also win a £30 voucher for laboratory supplies and Educake goodies bag for their class.
